Staff preparation for searches and law enforcement action

We prepare executives and employees for searches, questioning and other contact with law enforcement. We rehearse practical scenarios tailored to the business to minimise harm from abuses by law enforcement officers.

When to engage us

  • The company has no agreed procedure for a search or the arrival of law enforcement officers.
  • Employees do not understand their rights, the limits of authority or how to involve counsel.
  • The company is receiving requests or summonses from law enforcement.
  • A previous search or other procedural action exposed gaps in staff readiness.
  • You need to test existing instructions, assess the team’s readiness or prepare new employees.

What we do

Assess organisational readiness.

We examine operations, premises and access to documents and information systems. We review instructions, responsibilities and communication arrangements, identifying priorities for improvement.

Develop response procedures.

We define the sequence from the arrival of officers to completion of the proceedings. This includes notifying management and counsel, checking documents, recording events and coordinating staff.

Deliver role-specific training.

We address the responsibilities of management, reception, security, accounting, HR and IT. We explain rights and obligations and how to respond to demands for records, information and system access. We identify situations requiring individual legal assistance.

Rehearse practical scenarios.

We simulate the arrival of officers, simultaneous action across premises, device seizures and employee summonses. We test whether instructions work, roles are understood and information reaches the right people promptly.

Prepare working materials.

We develop concise guidance, role-specific instructions and notification procedures. We address situations in which the manager or another designated employee is absent. Following training, we recommend procedural improvements.

How we work

We agree participants, format and duration. The programme reflects the company’s activities, locations and handling of records and digital information.

Training covers lawful protection of rights, proper preservation of records and data, documentation of events and timely access to counsel.

The company receives an agreed response procedure, staff materials and a list of organisational issues to address.

Getting started

Tell us the company’s sector, number of locations, expected participants and the situations the team needs to prepare for.

Following a conflict check, we agree the programme, format and scope.
